John Michael's love of music spilled over to his photography and he began to provide photographic services to musicians and bands. He felt privedged to work on a large, composite new CD release by photographing the 10 different hip-hop artists for their j-card and promotional items. He provided all the necessary photography related services, such as make-up, dressing rooms and of course the photos themselves.

In addition, John Michael met with the very talented Micheal Pearl and on several different occasions John Michael took Pearl's picture prior to his new releases.

As word got out about John Michael's photograhy, he also shot several bands and individual artists.
